Master S.H. Blomeley

Young Ki Students performed exceptionally well at one of the first competitions of the year. Six students from Stockport entered the Ultimate one to one competition at Barnsley Metrodome on the 29th January. One to one competitions are to allow the Taekwondo sport players chance to experience the competitive arena and gain invaluable experience before entering a major open championship.

All the Ki students chose to have a couple of matches each and very notably were the Yellow belts from the Ki Taekwondo Chadkirk Club who fought much higher graded oposition and held their own against them. Jack, Jay, Will and William all enjoyed the day as did 6 year old Max Chomiak (Tiny Taegers, Chadkirk class) and little Louis Stephens from Ki Taekwondo Reddish.

Pictured with Ian Lennox the technical director of the BTCB is Ki Taekwondo's Kenneth Barthram who recently attained his third degree Black Belt on November 20th 2011. Ken who runs the Ki Taekwondo Reddish class on a Tuesday night is 53 years old and trains diligently week in week out with Master Blomeley at the Romiley and Hazel Grove classes in Stockport. It was a thoroughly deserved promotion in our opinion and we hope that many more students will attend the Reddish class on a Tuesday night to get the benefits of Taekwondo Training and keep Fit, Active and Healthy plus learn great Self defence skills.
